A-F Fulgence: Bitches & Bastards

Anne-France Fulgence, known as A-F, used to hunt wild pigs with her family in Morocco; they had three dogs to help in the hunt. Somewhat of a rite of passage, A-F found through the hunt her connection with nature and these animals was amplified.

‘Bitches & Bastards’ is an exhibition comprised of portraits of hunting dogs, what A-F describes as “intelligent, graceful, attentive, trustful, loving, loyal and innocent” animals. Compelled to give them something back, a kind of grandeur and recognition, an act of respect, and love for man’s best friend, romanticising the hunt.
