The Victorian Artists’ Society is a society for art practitioners and lovers whose members are made up of people ranging from new artists right through to very accomplished and awarded artists. Throughout the year, VAS organises exhibitions and coordinates classes and awards for their members.
This April sees their annual Autumn Exhibition, ‘An Artistic Landscape’, which will feature works by the members. The exhibition is also the showcase of finalists from the society’s Undine Award. Annie Finkelde was the 2013 winner for her painting, Visitation Rights – illustrated below.
Opening celebrations and award ceremony takes place on 8 April from 7pm in the Frater, Hammond and McCubbin Galleries.
