Australian artist Ramesh Mario Nithiyendran and curator Glenn Barkley have joined their counterparts from Taiwan, China, South Korea, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Vietnam and Singapore at the Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts, Taipei for the 2016 Kuandu Biennale. Responding to the theme of ‘Slaying Monsters’, Nithiyendran presents a larger-than-life band of sculptures depicting human-animal forms with monstrous and ghostly features of which the artist says, are “a little bit violent”. On show until 11 December, 2016.
