This exhibition of new photographic works by Danie Mellor explores the visceral sensuality of landscape and nature. The presence of decay and growth, of mortality and cycles of life in the imagery, propose an ecology that consumes and births itself, existing independently of audiences and our perception of what we consider a natural world may appear to be. In spite of this independence at the core of nature’s atavistic recreation of itself, we participate through our witness to the spectacle of a primordial urge: the allure of life and death unfolding, and the seduction of our gaze those events hold.
