The outstanding talent of visual art students from the Hunter and Central Coast regions is celebrated in ‘First Class 14’. Now in its seventh year, the ‘First Class’ series showcases the high calibre of work produced by local students for the previous year’s High School Certificate.
In 2015, the young artists tackle issues of tolerance and intolerance, inclusion and exclusion as well as the concept of identity and the development of the self through topical subjects such as feminism, sexuality and cultural identity. A gallery project curated by Ann Caddey and Belinda Howden in consultation with Meryl Ryan.
