Now in its fourteenth year, the City of Melville’s annual ‘Sculpture Walk’ will take place from Saturday 19 March to Sunday 3 April at a new location, Perth’s riverside suburb of Applecross, gracing the picturesque grounds of the Heathcote Cultural Centre and transforming the heritage building into an outdoor gallery.
The art exhibition will showcase a total of 26 sculptures and installations by Western Australian artists, TAFE students and local school students, expertly curated by experienced Outdoor Exhibition Curator Lyn DiCiero.
‘Sculpture Walk’ is one of the biggest highlights on the City of Melville’s calendar and showcases a huge range of creative artwork. Open 7 days each week from dawn to dusk, the free community event is fun for all ages and not to be missed.
Visitors to the exhibition can vote for their favourite sculpture in the People’s Choice Award. Most artworks showcased at ‘Sculpture Walk 2016’ will be on sale and can be purchased by contacting the City of Melville on 1300-635-845 or (08) 9364-0666 or by email on melinfo@melville.wa.gov.au.
