Kerrie Warren: My Side of the River – An Abstract Perspective

Artist Kerrie Warren, observes the landscape with great wonderment. The glorious array of colours, intertwining textural layers and organic patterns of random occurrence, create sensations and inspire experiences within that then flow onto the canvas.

Warren uses paint to access a deeper connection to her inner self. She explains that a merging of physical action and metaphysical awareness takes place and she finds herself inside the painting, acutely conscious of the present moment. Becoming emotionally and physically consumed, she moves, pours, dribbles, splatters and throws the paint to create a work full of emotions.
