Kieran Ingram works from life with traditional painting techniques. He assembles his subjects in such a way that the scale and nature of each object within his compositions are somewhat unclear.
Small figures make their surroundings seem giant, leaves and bones are mistaken for one another, snails mimic seashells and beech nuts look like moths. His interest in natural history, archaeology and anthropology runs through the collection.
