Born in Argentina, Laura migrated to Australia as a child. After almost 25 years of working within a government organisation, she took a career break due to health reasons. During this time, she entertained holistic treatments and meditation. What began as a form of therapy has now become a full-time passion. Laura strongly attributes her late career change to these therapies in the ‘awakening’ of her creativity.
Laura’s paintings are greatly influenced by her love of food and cuisine. She practices the ‘flemish’ techniques used by the Dutch masters, and uses multiple layering methods and translucent glazes to achieve depth and texture in her paintings.
