Lea Kannar-Lichtenberger: Colliding Worlds

Working with a methodology of bio-art and using critical inquiry, Lea Kannar-Lichtenberger explores the theory of evolution as a metaphor for change. Kannar-Lichtenberger has researched the progress of scientific development and evolutionary theory, and created dynamic and exciting art works.

The weed or common dandelion and tree dandelion are used as surprising tools in her analysis, with images and installations exploring the connections between human progress, art and science. Our world, our green and blue planet is reflected in the guise of a dandelion cell covered with humans, our DNA.
