‘Our Communities‘, an Indigenous art exhibition showcasing the twenty finalists of the 2016 MAX Employment National Indigenous Art Competition, seeks to highlight the talent of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists from around Australia, honouring the culture, skill and diversity of the original owners of this land.
Over four weeks, MAX Employment put the call out for the submission of 2D artworks by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists across the country for the third annual MAX National Indigenous Art Competition. The response was overwhelming.
Chosen by a nominated judging panel, this year’s finalists were: Angela Marr-Grogan, Anna Dowling, Betty Braedon, Bradley Manns, Carissa Paglino, Courtney Hill, Darryl McCarthy, Fiona Bathern, Hazel Pearl Cowburn, Jacinda Washington, Jake Trindorfer, Leeton Lee, Leslie Stewart, Luke Mallie, Marilyn Davies, Saretta Fielding, Scott Moore, Shara Delaney, William Haupt and Zachary Bennett-Brook.
