PUBLIC 2015’ involves a ten-day transformation of distinctive urban neighbourhoods, using street art to convert blank walls and unused spaces into a live canvas. Local, interstate and international artists will gather in Perth from April 10 to 19 to enliven streets and landmarks across Victoria Park, Leederville, Fremantle, Claremont, Northbridge, Perth CBD, the Wheatbelt and the Pilbara.

Presented by not for profit cultural organisation FORM, ‘PUBLIC 2015’ is an immersive program of street art, exhibitions, artist talks, workshops, creative labs, walking tours, laneway events, a Salon show and more.

This year’s program will present an exciting line-up of street artists including Andrew Frazer, Andrew Hem, Amok Island, Baby Guerrilla, Brett Chan, Curiot, Chris Nixon, DALeast, Elian, Eko Nugroho, Fintan Magee, HENSE, Hayley Welsh, Ian Strange, Kyle Hughes-Odgers, Moneyless, NeSpoon, Nandita Kumar, Phlegm, Saner, Stormie Mills, TWOONE and Waone & AEC (Interesni Kazki).

A PUBLIC Symposium will take place from April 15 to 17 as part of the greater ‘PUBLIC 2015’ program. The Symposium offers a richer experience of PUBLIC by encouraging deeper conversations around the multifaceted nature of creativity and its relationship with entrepreneurial, adaptable, compelling and curious people and places. Speakers include local and international leaders in the arts, architecture, urban planning, technology and philanthropy. They have been invited to share a range of perspectives on the needs of places and communities as they transform and renew.
