Several galleries are enriching their business by making moves around town, in regional areas and overseas. In Sydney, opening with a new identity is MAY SPACE formerly Brenda May Gallery to all-new premises at 409b George Street, Waterloo presenting ‘MAY SPACE: FOURTEEN’ from 1 to 25 March.

Also from the DANKS Street complex, Utopia Art Sydney is now located at 72 Henderson Road, Alexandria and is showcasing the ‘Alternative Museum’ exhibition. Tim Olsen of Olsen Gallery teams up with New York gallerists, Emerald Gruin and Adrian Gruin in Soho to open ‘Olsen Gruin’ in New York City’s cultural precinct, with an exhibition by New York City-based Australian artist TV Moore. Back at home Michael Reid Sydney is relocating from Elizabeth Bay to 105 Kippax Street, Surry Hills and will be adding to the regional gallery ‘Murrundi’ by expanding it’s exhibition space to a wool shed style building with a modern open plan for viewing, adjacent to the existing gallery on the grounds of the historic Bobadil House in The Upper Hunter, NSW.
