Sydney East ArtWalk is a community initiative of prominent art galleries, art project spaces and the National Art School in the East Sydney, Darlinghurst and Kings Cross area.
The first ArtWalk for 2016 will see twenty-one galleries open their doors between 12 and 4pm on Saturday 6 February, showcasing a diverse range of visual arts and offering art lovers and those a-like an afternoon of inspiration and originality.
A comprehensive ArtWalk map with details of all exhibits will be available from the participating galleries: Affiliated Texts, Alaska Projects, Australian Design Centre, BackStage, Black Eye Gallery, Chalk Horse, Conny Dietzschold Gallery, The Cross Art Projects, Dominik Mersch Gallery, Firstdraft, Gallery 9, King Street Gallery on William, Liverpool Street Gallery, Mansfield Ceramics, National Art School – NAS Gallery, Robin Gibson Gallery, Soho Galleries, Stanley Street Gallery, Stills Gallery, Watters Gallery and Yuill Crowley. You can then take any route in any order to visit (or re-visit) these galleries, sipping free wine and enjoying some nibbles provided by the generous gallery staff.
