Tasmanian artist, Tara Badcock’s solo commission focuses on the female form as a vessel, representing containment, survival and protection. Working across various media, Badcock incorporates ideas related to individual experience with reference to the past and present status of women. Opaqueness and transparency, linearity and broken narratives are weaved into textural and sculptural works of varying scales.
