Tasmania’s biennial festival presents a creative arts program of international and local artists this year premiering 10 new performance works, exhibitions, theatre, music, dance and film. From 17 to 26 March, some events to look out for include ‘GASP All Night’ at Glenorchy Sculpture Park presenting ‘Parliament: An Island in an Island’ by Janet Laurence and Tega Brain followed by a preview of ‘A Plan For Escape’, James Newitt’s new film. Also, ‘Sites of Love and Neglect’ the statewide project reflecting on secrets, lost memories, forgotten histories and neglected places across multiple venues, and ‘Gymnasia’ by Shannon Field explores Australian masculinity with a formidable installation inspired by the boxing gym.
